Pacific West’s Chilli Squid can easily be transformed into tacos with minimal labour involved. A light menu addition for lunch, our chilli squid tacos are a great alternative to burgers and sandwiches. Treat your patrons to something new! Ideal for pubs and hotels.
INGREDIENTS
- Pacific West Chilli Squid
- 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt - pickled onions
- 1 cup water - pickled onions
- 1 red onion, thinly sliced - pickled onions
- 1 tablespoon sugar - pickled onions
- 1/2 carrot shredded
- 1/2 cups apple cider vinegar - pickled onions
- soft shell tacos
INSTRUCTIONS
For the chilli squid
Deep fry 180C 3-4 minutes
For the pickled onions
Combine all the ingredients for the pickled onions. Place in a sealable container for a minimum of one hour.
For the chilli squid tacos
Warm the taco shells on a fry pan. Combine the chilli squid, pickled onions and shredded carrot
