Fish Cocktails with Sweet Chilli, Honey and Toasted Sesame Seeds

Pacwest Products: Tempura Fish Cocktails

A fantastic entree or shared plate using fish cocktails! Here we simply combine honey and sweet chilli sauce to Pacific West’s tempura fish cocktails and top with toasted sesame seeds. The process is incredibly light on labour and guarantees a great profit margin. A great dish for the times where patrons are looking for low cost menu options. Both adults and children will love this dish. Use a hotter chilli sauce in combination with the honey if you want to add some heat. Great for pubs.

Pacific West’s fish cocktails are premium bite-sized fish pieces battered in a light Japanese style tempura batter.

INGREDIENTS

  • Pacific West tempura fish cocktails
  • 1/4 cup of runny honey
  • 1/2 cup of sweet chilli sauce
  • 1/2 tbs toasted white sesame seeds
  • 1/2 tbs toasted black sesame seeds

INSTRUCTIONS

For the fish cocktails with sweet chilli, honey and toasted sesame seeds
Deep fry the tempura fish cocktails 180C 2-3 minutes
In a bowl, combine honey and sweet chilli sauce. Gently heat and set aside.
In a hot pan toast both sesame seeds.
Place the fish cocktail in a bowl or serving plate, drizzle the honey and chilli sauce over the fish, top with the toasted sesame seeds.
